Baby A’s 1st birthday!

Well here's my first official post... Are you excited yet? We had Baby A’s first birthday party this past weekend. Wow! No one prepared me for how much work it is to throw a party at your own house. I know it sounds weird considering I have an almost 6 year old but I've never had a party at my own house! Crazy I know. Between the cleaning to get the house ready and the cleaning after the party, I'm beat. I felt like I threw the equivalent of a keg party for kids. My house looked like a hurricane hit it but I sat there in utter satisfaction in the chaos. I had pulled it off! Here are some pictures some the blessed event...

Yes that’s a *GASP* Wal-mart cake in the background. I had a little bit of trouble with the cake since my oven is on the fritz and I had to borrow an oven. Apparently I have no clue how to bake in a convection oven. Luckily, the smash cake survived the disaster since Ash has a dairy allergy and can’t eat conventional cake.

Notice how this is the only picture of big brother. I guess he’s to the age where taking pictures is no longer cool, so they’re all “action” shots from now on.

Asher found the sand table. Oh man, I’m going to pay for this later in the summer I’m sure of it because he's already ingested one handful of it.
